Exciting New Colors
The 2022 Escape continues with the same sporty body style as
last year but added exciting new colors. The Escape lineup now includes Iced
Blue, Flight Blue, and Atlas Blue.
Improved Interiors
The Titanium Elite and SEL Stealth models got exciting new
interior upgrades in 2022 with new patterns, colors, and materials. The SEL
Stealth includes ActiveX seating with Miko® Suede inserts, while the Titanium
Elite added leather trim with perforations and a leather-wrapped steering
wheel.
Great Design
Several fantastic appearance packages are available,
including the SE Sport Appearance Package, SEL Stealth AWD Package, and the
Titanium Elite Package. You’re guaranteed to get attention with the SE Sport
Appearance Package, which includes 19-inch ebony aluminum wheels, a glossy
black grille, black upper window molding, and black front and rear bumpers.
The sporty SEL Stealth AWD Package offers a dramatic design with numerous
blacked-out features, including black badges, black emblems, and a glossy black
grille. The package also includes black skid plates and sporty side mirrors
with glossy black skullcaps. The top-of-the-line Titanium Elite Package
includes refined features like 19-inch nickel-painted wheels, a chrome grille,
and sandstone leather-trimmed seats.
Great Space & Cargo
The Escape continues to be an excellent option for all with
its spacious interior. There’s plenty of room for passengers with unique
second-row sliding seats that provide versatility and 40.7 inches of legroom.
The 2022 Escape seats five adults and has plenty of cargo space. The seats fold
down for storage with 60/40 split-folding second-row seats. With multiple
possible seat configurations, you have many options for transporting oddly
shaped gear like sports equipment and luggage.
Speed Sign Recognition
As of 2022, Ford Co-pilot360 Assist will feature intelligent
adaptive cruise control with speed sign recognition. This innovative technology
automatically adjusts the vehicle speed when approaching a speed sign.
Speed sign recognition will detect an approaching sign and adjust the Escape’s
speed based on your predetermined speed parameters. This feature can be set and
disabled at any time and is newly available on the 2022 Escape.
Driver Assist Technology
The Ford Escape has numerous advanced safety features. Standard features include automatic high beams, lane-keep assist, blind-spot information, and a rearview camera. Standard features also include hill start assist, which keeps the vehicle from rolling backward or forward when starting on a hill.
Available driver-assist features include park assist and evasive steering. The evasive steering assistance feature helps avoid collisions by using the camera to detect if a vehicle ahead has slowed its speed or stopped. This optional feature can also help you steer in the event you need to maneuver around an object like an animal or child who runs out into the street.
