Used vehicles are cars that have been tagged and titled by a previous owner. While used and certified pre-owned vehicles both have prior owners, to be classified as a certified pre-owned vehicle, it must meet certain criteria.
With Ford Blue Advantage, they’ve developed a system to classify vehicles into three categories: Gold Certified, EV Certified and Blue Certified. Categories are determined by different factors like the vehicle’s age and mileage.

To qualify for Gold, the Ford in question must not have more than 80,000 miles and be no older than 6 years. Once the Ford passes the 172-point inspection and meets all the requirements, it is deemed a Gold Certified Pre-Owned Ford.
You’ll receive, upon purchasing the Ford, a 12-month or 12,000-mile comprehensive limited warranty. Also, take advantage of the 7-year or 100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty. There’s also a 14-day or 1,000-mile money-back guarantee.
