Fuel-efficient Fords at Crain Ford of Little Rock

Finding ways to save money can be difficult. If you’re always cutting corners to add more padding to your budget, we may have a solution. Have you ever considered trading in that gas-guzzler for an electric vehicle or maybe a hybrid?

With the current national average around $3.25 for a gallon of gas, a tank of gas will cost you over $45 to fill up a 14-gallon tank. That’s a lot of money being spent on fuel. Instead of filling up your tank, why not fill up your wallet? Try out a hybrid or EV from Crain Ford of Little Rock.

More and more car manufacturers are entering the hybrid and electric vehicle game. But Ford continues to be at the forefront of that change. The more hybrid and EV options available, the more choices you have as a driver to make the switch and save some cash.

Everyone loves the Ford Mustang, but there’s enough love to go around now that there’s two Mustangs in the barn. Yep. That’s right. We’ve added an all-electric vehicle, the Mustang Mach-E, to our family of SUVs.

Being a Mustang, it had a lot to live up to, but we’re here to tell you it beyond delivered. You won’t even miss driving a gas-powered vehicle when you’re racing along at 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. This Mustang can’t be tamed, and you’d never know it was an EV as it has all the best safety and technology features.

The estimated mileage range varies based on the trim you choose. But the California Route 1 gets an estimated range of 312 miles with a full charge. On average, U.S. drivers travel 37 miles each day. If your Mustang Mach-E can last 312 miles, you won’t have to charge for almost eight days.

Find the best trim for you, either the Select, Premium, California Route 1, or the GT. Since the Mustang Mach-E is all-electric, there’s no need for an engine up front. Instead, it’s been replaced with a drainable frunk.

Say what? Yep, you can use that space as a cooler, fill it with ice, and have a party. Drain it out when you’re done. You can also use the frunk for groceries or to store all the things you’d typically have in your trunk but just in the front now.

Maybe you aren’t ready to give up gas just yet. That’s ok. You can still save money with our hybrid options, like the Ford Escape. It comes in two trims, the ST-Line Elite Hybrid and the Plug-in Hybrid. With the ST-Line Elite Hybrid, you’ll get an EPA-estimated combined total of 39 MPG. That’s with 42 in the city and 36 on the highway.

If you choose the plug-in Escape, it runs an EPA-estimated 37 miles of electric-only driving with a 10.7-kWh battery pack. There’s no escaping saving on gas money regardless of which hybrid Escape you take.

Besides the Mustang-Mach E or Escape, you can choose from other EVs and hybrids. There’s the E-Transit van or the F-150 Lightning, both EVs. Or stick with a hybrid model and go with the Maverick or F-150 pickup truck.
