For the FWD HEV model, which has a 2.5L, four-cylinder engine, and a variable automatic transmission, the fuel economy is 42 MPG in the city and 36 on the highway.

2. 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning

The electric engine for the base 4WD model gets 76 MPGe in the city and 61 MPGe on the highway. The extended range model has slightly better specs, with 78 MPGe in the city and 63 MPGe on the highway.

The HEV model has a 2.5L, four-cylinder engine with a variable automatic transmission, which gets 40 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway. The standard 2L, four-cylinder engine with eight-speed automatic transmission also has good fuel economy, since it has a combined EPA estimate of 25 MPG.

4. 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E

The Ford Mustang Mach-E is another popular fully electric model in the Ford lineup. The base AWD model gets 99 MPGe in the city and 86 MPGe on the highway. If you choose the Mache-E RWD with the extended range, you can enjoy 110 MPGe in the city and 96 MPG on the highway.

5. 2023 Ford Mustang

Who doesn’t love the classic Ford Mustang? This powerful high-performance sports car is all about style and speed, and recently, Ford has started to prioritize the fuel economy for this flagship model, as well. Choosing Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) components can make a big difference in your vehicle’s performance, reliability, and longevity. OEM parts, made directly by your car’s manufacturer, bring several advantages. Visiting your local Ford dealer ensures you access these premium and reliable parts tailored for your specific car model. Below are five benefits of opting for OEM components for your vehicle.

1. Guaranteed Quality

The first major advantage of choosing OEM components is their guaranteed quality. These parts are crafted to precise design specifications and undergo stringent manufacturer testing, standing out from aftermarket alternatives. So, when you choose OEM, you’re investing in superior, reliable components for your vehicle.

2. Perfect Fit and Enhanced Performance

OEM components are designed specifically for particular car models, ensuring a flawless fit every time during replacement. But the advantages of OEM components extend beyond ease of installation. Take, for example, a fuel injector. If the injector isn’t the exact match for your car make and model, the installation could be problematic, and the engine’s performance might suffer, leading to lower fuel efficiency and reduced power, ultimately shortening your car’s lifespan.

By opting for an OEM fuel injector, you can maintain your vehicle’s performance and safeguard other components in the engine system from damage.

3. Warranty and Support

OEM components often come with a manufacturer’s warranty. For instance, if you replace your car’s transmission and discover an issue a few weeks later, your warranty can cover the replacement or repair costs, saving you from unexpected expenses. Additionally, dealerships offer comprehensive customer support. Any doubts or problems you encounter can be promptly addressed by experts who understand your vehicle inside and out.

4. Longevity and Durability

Who wouldn’t want car parts that last longer? That’s exactly what you get with OEM components. Imagine buying a cheap, generic battery for your car. The battery works, but after a short while, you’re back at the store for a new one. With an OEM battery, it’s built to last longer and withstand more use, meaning you’re not replacing it nearly as often.

Getting more durable parts can save you money and time in the long run as well as the headache of constantly dealing with failed components.

5. High Resale Value

Using OEM components not only maintains your car’s performance now but also boosts its resale value later. These top-quality parts show potential buyers you’ve cared for your vehicle diligently. Essentially, it’s a win-win choice, benefitting you now and paying off in the future.

Choosing original manufacturer pieces for your vehicle offers benefits like quality, perfect fit, warranty, durability, and value retention. Next time you consider a vehicle repair or service, think about these advantages. Come see us at Crain Ford of Little Rock today for top-notch service and authentic parts.

If your car starts sputtering and shaking one day, you might have a faulty ignition coil. The ignition coil in each of the engine’s cylinders generates a high voltage of electricity that allows the spark plugs to keep igniting the fuel. So when an ignition coil fails, the engine struggles to function as usual. Here are five signs that you may need to have at least one ignition coil replaced at your local Ford dealership.

Your Engine Sounds Unhealthy

Ordinarily, the engine of a modern Ford car should have a smooth and healthy sound at all times. If you notice it suddenly starts to sputter, cough, and judder, then a spark plug inside your cylinders is probably misfiring.

This might be due to a problem with the spark plug itself, or perhaps the airflow into the combustion chambers has been disrupted. But it might also be a failing ignition coil that’s no longer providing sufficient voltage for the spark plug to function properly.

You’re No Longer Idling Smoothly

Whenever you pause to rest in idle, such as when waiting at an intersection, your engine is put under a little more pressure. But if everything is working well, the engine shouldn’t have any trouble with idling, even for extended periods.

When an ignition coil is failing, however, at least one combustion chamber will really start to find idling very difficult. This is why you’re most likely to first notice misfiring when you slow down or pause with the engine still on.

Your Car Suddenly Stalls

When an ignition coil gives out altogether, the spark plug won’t fire at all. In this case, you might find yourself suddenly stalling at inopportune moments. You might also have trouble starting your engine again, especially if more than one ignition coil has failed.

Your Car Starts Backfiring

When a faulty coil causes misfiring, an excess of unburned fuel can build up inside the combustion chamber. This excess fuel may eventually start seeping back into the exhaust system, where it can ignite, causing a loud bang and black smock to emerge from the tailpipe.

Your Check Engine Light Comes On

Fortunately, modern Ford vehicles are equipped with an impressive array of highly sensitive computerized sensors. These sensors will usually pick up on the problems caused by a faltering ignition coil before you do. You’ll then see the check engine light come alive on your dashboard, prompting you to have a technician take a look.

How Often To Replace Ignition Coils at Your Ford Dealer

High-quality OEM ignition coils in modern Ford cars can last 100,000 miles or more in a well-kept car. But sometimes this lifespan can be diminished by a faulty spark plug or other combustion chamber problems. The excessive heat and dusty environments we sometimes have around Little Rock also tend to take a toll on ignition coils.

Have your ignition coils checked, repaired, or replaced today at Crain Ford of Little Rock. We’re a family-owned dealership with family members working on-site every day, and we believe in treating our customers like family too.

Anyone who has lived in the Natural State knows that the change of seasons brings with it unique experiences that you can enjoy only for a few months. So, if you’re looking for fun spring activities you can drive to from Little Rock, AR, here are three of our favorite destinations.

2. Strawberries at Holland Bottom Farm

Spring is strawberry season in Central Arkansas, and you don’t want to miss it. Strawberries typically ripen in April with the warm weather and finish by early June. You can find strawberries at farmer’s markets across Little Rock, but going directly to the source in Cabot is worth the trip.

Holland Bottom Farm, located at 1255 Bill Foster Memorial Highway in Cabot, is one of the best places to go for just-picked strawberries. Family-owned and operated for more than 30 years, everything at Holland Bottom Farm is picked fresh daily. Since they often sell out before the end of the day, call ahead before you and your friends hit the road in your Ford Escape.

Bulldog’s strawberry shortcake, which is known to have eager diners waiting in lines out the door, is a local legend. Lyda Miller, the grandmother of Bulldog’s founder (Bob), used to sell shortbread out of her home—until she could no longer keep up with demand. In the 1990s, Lyda’s daughter (Lucille) adapted the recipe, so it could be made in her son’s restaurant: and the rest is history.
