4. Lake Ouachita State Park

As the main state park on Lake Ouachita, this state park includes 93 sites, many of which are located right by the lake itself, which is perfect for swimming, scuba diving, or boating. 12 of the sites are walk-in tent sites, while the rest are suitable for both RVs and tents, with full hookups. The site also includes eight cabins that are available to rent, with fully equipped kitchens overlooking the lake.

5. Petit Jean State Park

Featuring 125 campgrounds, and less than an hour’s drive to the east of Little Rock, this state park is a classic, with natural beauty and brilliant facilities for the whole family to enjoy. These include a swimming pool, tennis, and basketball courts. The park also includes many rare geological formations to discover, including canyons, carpet rocks, and turtle rocks.
